MOUNTAINEER E-News will be on hiatus next week (Dec. 24-28) and Dec. 31-Jan. 1 during the winter break. There will be no planned MOUNTAINEER E-News on these dates, including Dec. 27-28 when the University is open for business. Daily editions of MOUNTAINEER E-News will resume Wednesday, Jan. 2. Some employees when reviewing their payroll statement for the Dec. 21 pay, will notice the Morgantown City User Fee, $6.50, was not deducted. Due to a technical issue, the deduction did not occur for a selection of employees.
Daniel Long has been appointed the director off the Office of Accessibility Services at West Virginia University effective Jan. 7.

Late last week, Gov. Jim Justice issued executive orders declaring the afternoons of Monday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 31, as official holidays for State employees. And since WVU already observes these days as holidays, the University has modified its holiday calendar to include an additional 7.5-hour “floating” holiday (pro-rated by FTE) for leave-eligible employees, effective Monday, Dec. 24.
The parking office will close temporarily Friday (Dec. 21) from noon - 1 p.m. During this time you can still view your permit information, pay citations and update personal information by logging on to portal.wvu.edu and select the MyParking tab.
