Reading and comprehension skills are critical to success in today’s fast-paced world. Energy Express, a summer reading and nutrition program offered by WVU Extension Service and AmeriCorps, helps to ensure West Virginia’s youths keep up with those much-needed skills, particularly during the summer months.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU is currently seeking volunteer instructors to teach a wide variety of courses for our spring term, including the arts, literature, history, philosophy and religion, current events, political affairs, science, math, health and wellness and more for our campuses in Morgantown and Charleston. The deadline for spring class proposals is Jan. 22.
The Division of Talent and Culture is rolling out a new developmental tool – called Upward Feedback – to promote supervisors’ personal and professional growth. Upward Feedback is designed to help supervisors identify their leadership strengths and developmental opportunities by capturing feedback from their direct reports.
The sustainability office has added a new downtown location for 24/7 textile recycling. The new bin is located on the southeast side of Dadisman Hall in a small parking lot bordering North High Street.
