Baseball player Griffin Kirn was also selected for the All-Big 12 First Team earlier in the week and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team for his performance against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
The baseball team picked up an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Baseball Championship and will head to Clemson, South Carolina, as the No. 2 seed to face No. 3 Kentucky at noon Friday (May 30). The game will be televised on ESPNU.
The top-seeded baseball team defeated Cincinnati, 10-3, Thursday (May 22) in the Big 12 quarterfinals at Globe Life Field. The Mountaineers advance to play No. 4-seed Arizona at 5 p.m. today (May 23).
