Paint and Sip flyer  

Designed to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and de-stress, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Mountainlair, Greenbrier Room.

An employee’s mental well-being directly affects productivity, job satisfaction and overall quality of life. To support this, faculty and staff are encouraged to use the services available through the Faculty Staff Assistance Program.

The IT Purchase Request form that all faculty and staff must submit before making a technology-related purchase was updated Thursday (Sept. 11) to automate approval of certain low-risk purchases by collecting better information. This change will speed up the fulfillment of customer requests for routine purchases that don’t require additional reviews.

Tapping into the Mountaineer spirit which is built on a strong sense of community, the University — in collaboration with state and local leaders — is expanding the successful Ascend West Virginia program for worker recruitment and retention into Kanawha County.

Austin Grant, the assistant director of operations at the Mountainlair, has been selected for the September Non-Classified Staff Salute. A Weirton native and proud alum, Grant joined the Division of Student Life in 2023 as a night operations coordinator at the Mountainlair before landing his current position in April of this year.
