FSAP encourages employees to prioritize mental wellness

Talking Generic

An employee’s mental well-being directly affects productivity, job satisfaction and overall quality of life.

To support this, faculty and staff are encouraged to use the services available through the Faculty Staff Assistance Program.

The benefits of using the FSAP include:

  • Three free counseling sessions: WVU employees and their dependents are eligible for three complimentary counseling sessions each year, a vital resource for addressing personal challenges and improving mental health.

  • Referrals: FSAP provides connections to community mental health providers, ensuring you receive the support you might need beyond our services.

  • Well-being check-ins: The support squad offers skills and strategies to reduce workplace stress, enhancing your resilience and work-life balance.

Additionally, FSAP hosts quarterly book clubs focused on wellness topics, holiday stress management consultations, and seasonal and caregiver support groups to foster community and connection among employees.

All sessions are confidential, with the option to meet in person or via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Your privacy is our priority.

If you or someone you know could benefit from these services, contact the program at 304-293-5590 or fsap@hsc.wvu.edu.
