Commuter Student Programs welcomed both new and returning students to campus while engaging in various Welcome Week activities. During these events, students learned about resources and other services, navigating campus life and staying connected with peers.
As one of the largest contributors to research conducted at WVU, the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources has experienced rocketing growth with a 72% boost in externally funded engineering and computer science research and development since 2020.
The WVU Wind Symphony will perform a concert in honor of legendary director Don Wilcox at 2 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 8) at the Canady Creative Arts Center. Wilcox, who died May 27, served as director of bands for 34 years before retiring in 2005.
Encourage undergraduate students of any major to attend the Society of Physics Students informational session and social from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 4) in White Hall, Room G07.
Three School of Nursing Beckley Campus students were selected for the VA Student Trainee Experience Program, a nurse residency at the Beckley VA Medical Center which provides experience and employment opportunities.
