All undergraduate students, especially underrepresented and non-traditional students, and those who would not otherwise be engaged in STEM, will be offered new opportunities for research thanks to the “Magnetic Analysis and Measurement Project” created by professor Mikel Holcomb who was awarded $400,000 from the National Science Foundation to help advance undergraduate research at WVU.

The Research Office is offering sessions in preparation for the Jan. 13 launch of Grants, Agreements, Conflict of Interest and WVCTSI Clinical Trial Center Of Excellence. The sessions will be offered through Oct. 14 on Zoom.
The newly transformed Van Liere and West Virginia IDeA Research Conference will engage researchers from WVU, Marshall University and academic institutions across the state of West Virginia beginning at 9 a.m. today (Sept. 16) at the Erickson Alumni Center. Dr. Ali Rezai will give the keynote address at 9:30 a.m.
The interactive workshop will engage potential research mentors through five training modules from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Lyon Tower, Room G08.
Following a security incident involving a compromised WVU account, the University is working closely with the National Science Foundation to address the agency’s concerns and to ensure system access is restored as soon as possible. NSF has assured the University faculty won’t be penalized for any delays; however, there is not an estimated time frame for when this will be resolved.
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and the Office of Occupational Health would like to remind researchers that the University provides multiple opportunities around campus to take advantage of the seasonal flu vaccine.
