Second set of informational sessions on new Research Administration portal underway

research building

The University research community is encouraged to sign up for Set 2 of Bits & Bytes, a series of informational sessions about the new system that will replace WVU+kc, the WVU Research Administration Portal.

The Research Office is offering sessions in preparation for the Jan. 13 launch of Grants, Agreements, Conflict of Interest and WVCTSI Clinical Trial Center Of Excellence. The sessions will be offered through Oct. 14 on Zoom.

These sessions will focus on funding proposal and award management, and will provide a brief overview of agreements and conflict of interest.

A third Bits & Bytes series will be held in October and November to provide information on freeze dates for submissions and WRAP training and support.

The new system and processes will support the growth of WVU research and reduce administrative burden by streamlining reviews and approvals, decreasing duplicative data entry, improving the visibility of submission status, keeping all correspondence in a single system and ensuring compliance is built in at every step. Reviewers and compliance staff will also have more transparency in submissions, enabling them to be more proactive with PIs.
