Students in 11th and 12th grades looking for a unique, immersive, science-based camp experience should consider Brain Camp, a new week-long educational program taking place on West Virginia University’s Morgantown Campus in July.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to hear from Professor Ben Trachtenberg of the University of Missouri April 23 at 4 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. Trachtenberg’s talk is part of the Neil S. Bucklew Lecture Series and will offer lessons to be taken from Mizzou’s experiences during racially charged 2015 protests and their aftermath which gained national attention.
Plan to attend this free, spring performance. Shows will be held in the Okey Patteson Auditorium at the WVU Health Sciences Center Saturday (April 27) at 2 p.m. and Sunday (April 28) at 3 p.m.
Two Earth Day events will take place on campus on campus today (April 22)— 30-minute guided sustainability walking tours and installation of WVU’s first solar panels will be announced at the College of Law.
One candidate for the Director of Admissions Operations position has withdrawn from consideration. The open forum scheduled for 1:30 p.m., today (April 22) has been canceled. Open forums will resume tomorrow (April 23) at 1:30 .m. in the Shenandoah Room of the Mountainlair.
Welcome back the migrant songbirds as they return from their winter ranges to the Core Arboretum Tuesdays April 23 and 30 and May 7 and 14 at 7:30 a.m. The bird walks are led by members of Mountaineer Audubon who will identify birds by sight and sound for participants and help everyone learn to appreciate the wonder of spring migration.
