Two Earth Day events will take place on campus on campus today (April 22)— 30-minute guided sustainability walking tours and installation of WVU’s first solar panels will be announced at the College of Law.
Tours will be offered on the downtown campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tours will depart from the front entrance of the Mountainlair on every half hour.
At 3 p.m., join the WVU College of Law Sustainability Committee to hear about WVU's first solar installation, which will be installed on the building's roof over the summer. The presentation will take place outside on the building's green roof, (rain location: College of Law Faculty Lounge).
Also, tomorrow (April 23), WVU will offer free electronics recycling to the campus community in Stansbury Hall Parking Lot - Area 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This effort is intended for personal items only. WVU-owned electronics should go through the WVU surplus system. Most types of electronics accepted, but no CRT televisions.
