The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources programs have reached a significant high of 41% in enrollment growth this year. Over the past five years, enrollment has grown by 77%.

Reynolds Hall has a new training ground for next-gen cybersecurity warriors — the Dr. Randy and Karen S. Evans Cybersecurity Lab. Overseen by Chris Ramezan, the lab is preparing Chambers students for the ever-changing landscape of software, systems and network threats.
The Center for ActiveWV, housed in the WVU College of Applied Human Sciences, was one of 42 organizations acknowledged for its positive health initiatives during a ceremony at Glade Springs Resort.
The Reed School of Media and Communications will hold a free digital security and safety workshop for local and regional news organizations, independent and citizen journalists, and other at-risk practitioners in the arts, communications, education and civil society organizations. The workshop will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Media Innovation Center.
Elaine Ginsberg, former department chair and professor at the Eberly College, died on Aug. 9. She served the University as a generous mentor and an innovative administrator for 35 years before retiring in 2000.
The Center for Financial Literacy and Education will host an exclusive screening of the award-winning documentary “This is Not Financial Advice” followed by a discussion with its Los Angeles-based film director beginning at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow (Oct. 3) in Reynolds Hall, Esbenshade Auditorium.
