The Reed School of Media and Communications will hold a free digital security and safety workshop from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 for local and regional news organizations, independent and citizen journalists, and other at-risk practitioners in the arts, communications, education and civil society organizations.
Experts will help participants address potential safety risks across platforms, introduce them to new tools and help them improve the security of their devices, data, internet footprint and identity. These steps can protect them and their organizations from safety threats related to covering sensitive topics.
