In accordance with the university’s effort in monitoring the COVID-19 epidemic, and current university guideline on curtailing large events to at least April 3, the Three-Minute Thesis Grand Finale hosted by the Office of Graduate Education and Life originally scheduled to take place in the Mountainlair Ballrooms April 2 will now be held as a virtual competition.

The University has canceled two Hardesty Festival of Ideas events to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus or COVID-19. W. Kamau Bell and Piper Kerman were scheduled to be part of the 2019-20 FOI Series.
The Celtic Woman performance scheduled April 1 at the Creative Arts Center has been postponed due to the suspension of in-person classes and events on the WVU campus.
Due to recent closures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Finding Neverland” national tour has closed and the March 23 performance at the WVU Creative Arts Center has been canceled.
The seminar titled COVID-19 Coronavirus Update will be broadcast from the WVU Medicine East Facebook page on Tuesday (March 17) at 7 p.m.
West Virginia University Libraries has postponed “A Mountaineer Named Sherlock,” a Sherlock Holmes symposium scheduled for March 20-21, due to the suspension of in-person classes and other events on the WVU campus.
