The former prisoner of war and retired U.S. Army soldier will speak on her survival and rescue during the 2003 invasion of Iraq at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the Mountainlair Gluck Theatre.

Woodburn Winter Snow Campus  

The University’s Board of Governors has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend WVU BOG Finance and Administration Rule 5.8 — Travel. The proposed amendments remove the requirement for booking travel through a University-contracted travel management company.

The Nov. 29 paycheck will be the third paycheck in November and will be considered a “deduction holiday pay” for 12-month benefits-eligible employees. Benefit deductions will not be withheld, however, mandatory taxes and retirement deductions will be withheld.

Downtown Morgantown  

The City of Morgantown is announcing the continuation of the Morgantown Police Department’s Safe Streets Initiative. What originally started as an effort to connect citizens to help has evolved into what officials consider a welcomed focus on public safety that increases law enforcement visibility and reduces petty crime in the downtown area, according to MPD.
