WVU Libraries is hosting “Amplifying Appalachia” Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, an effort to boost the stories and figures of under-represented Appalachian artists, writers and other creators, particularly women, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Hosted by the John Chambers College of Business and Economics' Diversity, Inclusion, Culture and Equity Committee, in partnership with scholars at the Health Sciences Center, the Healthcare Disparities Panel will take place Thursday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m.
WVU Libraries’ Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Prioritize Periods Campaign of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, has launched “Take One, Leave One,” a menstrual product drive, in their campus locations including Downtown Campus Library, Evansdale Library, and Health Sciences Lactation Room, as a trial through the spring semester.
In celebration of Black History Month, the Statler College DEI Committee, in partnership with the Division of DEI at WVU will host a webinar in honor of Katherine Johnson and the legacy of strong women she inspired Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 5 to 6 p.m. via Zoom. Panelists will include Meshea L. Poore, Esq. Vice President for DEI at WVU and Statler College alumnae, former NASA engineer and partner of Ventures Yonder Kerri Knotts.
The WVU Collegiate Recovery Program is offering an All Recovery meeting open to any faculty or staff member who identifies as being in recovery. The meeting will take place virtually every Wednesday at noon starting Jan. 20.
The Hardesty Festival of Ideas kicks off its spring semester events with a virtual presentation, giving the University community an opportunity to hear from WVU alumna and 2002 recipient of the Order of Augusta Mary Marantz. She will speak Wednesday, March 3, at 7 p.m. using a Zoom webinar format.
