As West Virginia University prepares to welcome back students, faculty and staff to campus for the fall 2021 semester, the University has developed plans and guidelines for employees to ensure continued adaptation of new ways of working and operating in as safe a manner as possible.

WVU Extension Service and West Virginia State University will partner to develop a robust vaccine and immunization community education and outreach program for the state’s residents, including a strong focus on multigenerational families and other vulnerable populations.
Four eminent WVU alumni were appointed to serve the WVU Alumni Association Board of Directors at its fourth quarterly meeting on Friday, June 4. Kamau Brown, Gabrielle St. Léger, Nesha Sanghavi and Monté Williams have been selected to serve six-year terms. The board also elected Todd Mount to his first term as chair, Darren Feeley as vice chair, Tracy Schoenadel as secretary and Greg Darby as treasurer.
The new Kids Market @ The Store is open to any child ages 4 to 17 in Calhoun County, thanks to a partnership between the WVU Extension Service Family Nutrition Program, the Sisters Health Foundation and local farmers.
WVU Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore, Esq. is the new president of the Big 12 Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. The president of the Association is tasked with leading the chief diversity officers of all Big 12 member institutions in discussions and initiatives that will impact the direction of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies and practices across the conference.
