Tell us you’re vaccinated by Aug. 1

covid-19 vaccine

To better understand the increasing number of people who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, West Virginia University is asking all students, faculty and staff to verify their vaccination with the University this summer.

By verifying your vaccination, you’re doing your part to create a safe campus community and help us open up more parts of campus this fall. You’ll also be helping us determine what COVID-19 guidelines we can relax, depending on how many students and employees are vaccinated.

You can access the COVID-19 Vaccine Verification System at myhousing.wvu.edu. The verification process takes just a few minutes. Full instructions can be found on the Return to Campus website. To complete the process, make sure you know the type of vaccine you received and the date(s) you received your dose(s).

All students and employees must verify their vaccination, no matter where they received it. This means those who received their vaccine through the University must still complete the verification process to be considered fully vaccinated and be included in our vaccination rates. These vaccination rates are updated every Tuesday by 2 p.m.

If you haven’t yet received a COVID-19 vaccine, we strongly encourage you to consider getting vaccinated, whether on or off campus. Vaccines are our best defense against COVID-19. We understand you may have questions or concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine. We encourage you to speak to your primary care physician or contact Student Health at 304-285-7200 to get your questions answered.

Find the latest vaccine information, including current vaccination rates, on our Return to Campus website. If you have additional questions, email covidvaccine@mail.wvu.edu for assistance.
