When the WVU alumnus and host of Barnwood Builders, Mark Bowe, learned about a new WVU degree program available to apprentices, he seized the opportunity to work with them on a project at WVU Jackson’s Mill. Barnwood Builders follows Bowe and a group of fun-loving West Virginians who salvage antique log cabins and barns. The episode will air April 25, at 9 p.m., on the DIY Network.

The WVU Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Children on Campus program is offering training on Safe Touch, a program that teaches children they have the right to keep their private parts private. Prevention Education specialists Akeya Carter-Bozman and Cortney Simmons will outline the program during a Lunch and Learn on April 28 from noon to 1 p.m.
Returning in an online format, this Teaching and Learning Commons end-of-semester faculty development event CELEBRATE 2021 will be held May 12 at 9 a.m. A mix of inspiring live virtual sessions, engaging breakout sessions, special guest appearances and opportunities for networking will be available to enhance teaching and learning at WVU.
