WVU’s student-run organization, TEDxWVU is proud to announce its fourth independently organized TEDx event planned for Sept. 25 at the WVU Creative Arts Center Gladys Davis Theatre.
TEDxWVU is seeking speakers to present talks inviting ideas of change, activism, innovation and conversations surrounding our theme “If Not Us, Who?” Speaker applications are officially open and can be found on our website and on our social media @tedxwvu. Applications will close in mid-May.
Past event speakers include Emily Calandrelli, executive producer and host of FOX’s “Xploration Outer Space”; Ginny Thrasher, WVU student and 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist; and Nicole Russel, executive director of the Precious Dreams Foundation and a bestselling author of “Everything a Band-aid Can’t Fix.”
“The TEDxWVU student team actively works to create spaces for conversations and new ideas to be shared. We are dedicated towards finding speakers who are willing to share new ideas, to have exciting conversations and to learn while actively listening,” explains TEDxWVU Chair Allie Satterfield.
