Laurie Theeke, a nurse practitioner in the West Virginia University School of Medicine and associate professor in the WVU School of Nursing, developed the Listen program to give lonely people the skills to explore what makes them lonely and devise strategies to feel more connected.
Adults 50 years of age or older who are troubled by memory problems or have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment are needed for a research study. We are studying the possible benefits of relaxation practice for enhancing memory, reducing stress, and improving sleep and wellbeing in those with memory concerns.
