Virtual mindfulness  

In this collection of self-care workshops, participants will learn about the science of burnout along with mindfulness meditation, quick yoga movements and breathing techniques from the yoga tradition to attain more life balance while effectively sustaining energy throughout the day.

University Relations/Enrollment Management will be hosting Explore WVU, an open house event for prospective undergraduate students tomorrow (Aug. 7). Approximately 600 rising high school seniors and their families are expected for the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Parking will be extremely limited on campus as the Mountainlair Parking Garage will be used for the event.

WVU units that plan to hire student workers or Federal Work study students are encouraged to participate in the Back-to-School Job Fairs, a new addition to Welcome Week. The Fairs will be held Monday (Aug. 16) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Gold Ballroom of the Mountainlair and Tuesday (Aug. 17) from noon to 3 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center.

The campus community is invited to join a Return to Campus Conversation today (Aug. 5) from 10-11:15 a.m. This live session for faculty, staff and students will include information about the return to campus and the fall 2021 semester, including testing, the move-in process, Welcome Week and other events, academics, behavior expectations, personal safety and more.
