West Virginia University will sponsor a free online Mental Health First Aid training April 27 and April 28. This two-part session is open to WVU-affiliated faculty, staff or students from any of the University’s campuses.
Each year, the Office of Admissions coordinates representation at high school scholarship award ceremonies throughout the state of West Virginia. While COVID-19 forced these events to be virtual the past two years, we are excited to announce the return to an in-person format and invite faculty and staff to present scholarship certificates on behalf of WVU.
The Teaching and Learning Commons is offering “Educators Designing Great Courses” again this summer. Intended to help instructors make continual improvements to their teaching, this self-paced asynchronous course will systematically guide you through elements of designing and delivering a quality course, whether face-to-face, hybrid, fully online or HyFlex.
The Office of the Provost will continue its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation topics and initiatives to engage the wider University community in dialogue about these efforts. The fourth session, “Academic Transformation: Graduate Education,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m. The session will be held in person at the Erickson Alumni Center (Salon A) and offer a virtual option via Zoom webinar as well.
WVU Benefits Strategy will host spring retirement strategy virtual sessions on select dates and times in April. If you are a WVU benefits-eligible faculty or staff member in the retirement preparation stage, we welcome you to join us as we once again host Social Security, Humana, PEIA and TIAA.
