Beginning today (March 14), undergraduate students across the WVU System, including those at Potomac State College and WVU Tech, will receive a short survey about their academic advising experience. Faculty and staff are asked to encourage students to complete the survey.

The Office of the Provost is launching efforts to create a new general education curriculum designed to better serve the University’s undergraduate students. Up to four faculty members are being sought to serve as leads throughout this multi-year process, driving the process forward through institutional collaboration.

As part of preparations for reaffirmation of accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission, WVU is preparing for the team’s visit to campus. Campus community members are asked to save the dates — March 31 and April 1 — to participate in general feedback sessions.
Ten doctoral students will compete in the Three-Minute Thesis Grand Finale at 6 p.m. April 10 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms as faculty and staff judges assess finalists on comprehension, engagement and communication to determine first, second and third place winners.
