Benedum Distinguished Scholars  

Join the Office of the Provost and the WVU Benedum Distinguished Scholars for an evening of dialogue about research, passion and purpose. Scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, the 2023 Benedum Scholars Showcase will be an in-person event at the Canady Creative Arts Center Gladys G. Davis Theatre.

Excellence In Advising Recipients 2023  

Each year, at the direction of the Office of the Provost, the Academic Advising Council selects honorees for the Nicholas Evans Awards for Advising Excellence in recognition of outstanding advising and mentoring provided by faculty and professional advisers at WVU.

Upward Bound, a federally funded TRIO program at West Virginia University, is working to individualize the student experience and to support the University’s service mission by helping those at the high school level prepare for college. For the first time, the program is embedded at Preston High School in Kingwood this academic year.
