Ashton Marra is an alum and Clarksburg native who has served as a teaching associate professor in the Reed School of Media and Communications since 2018. She is dedicated to shaping journalism, and sports and adventure media majors into the next generation of ethical and empathetic reporters.

The ADVANCE Center, in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Center, will host a Generative AI in Teaching and Learning community for faculty, instructors and graduate teaching assistants across all WVU campuses. Attendees will explore generative AI, and its ethical use and impact on student creativity and critical thinking.

The REACH Student Success Center has been named the recipient of the 2025 West Virginia Higher Education Action and Impact Award by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
