Inspired by color, interior design alumna Kasey Helmick designed a center for individuals with cognitive disabilities which would help them lead more fulfilling lives. Her project, “True Colors,” was recognized as a regional winner and finalist for the national conference in the Interior Design Educators Council Student Design Competition.

This spirit steered all 15 presentations at the inaugural International Summer Conference in Continental Ethics, hosted at West Virginia University from June 19 to 22 and sponsored jointly by WVU’s Department of Philosophy and the Emmanuel Levinas Centre at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The Coaching and Performance Science program, housed in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, blends sport and movement science knowledge and professional development to prepare graduates for the growing field of athletics and applied sport sciences.
