The School of Public Health’s preliminary Self-Study is currently being reviewed by the Council on Education for Public Health in preparation for our April 2020 Site Visit. This phase of the reaccreditation process is called the preliminary review.

Sexual assault nurse examiners serve a patient population that has recently experienced trauma and are often in shock. These specially trained nurses approach their patients with trauma-informed care in order to help patients feel that they are safe and can regain control of their life.
WVU recently expanded its unique Music Therapy Program and is growing it throughout Ruby Memorial Hospital. The program will bring music therapy to all patients and will collaborate with physicians, nurses and other members of patient treatment teams.

With help from the WVU Eye Institute's Children’s Vision Rehabilitation Program, Clem’s dream became a reality. The program provides vital resources — including medical care, optical devices, assistive technology, mentoring, educational support, and more — that improve long-term quality of life for blind and visually impaired children.
