Fotinos Panagakos, associate dean of research at the School of Dentistry, has been named the dental school’s vice dean for administration and research.
The move comes after a year of transition for Uniontown Hospital as hospital leaders worked to navigate many regional changes in healthcare. The letter of intent lays out an agreement that will ensure that Uniontown Hospital will continue to operate as an acute care facility in Fayette County for years to come.
To begin a new decade, School of Dentistry dean Dr. Anthony ‘Tom’ Borgia, welcomed faculty and staff to the spring 2020 semester with a word of thanks.
The Institute for Community and Rural Health Service Program application for medical school students is open. The service award is $25,000. The deadline is Feb. 3.
Health Sciences faculty are invited to meet with library officials to learn more about the state of library journals, following the 2016-18 cuts. Karen Diaz, Dean of WVU Libraries, and Susan Arnold, Director of the Health Sciences Library, will host the session from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 21 in Room 1909, Health Sciences North.
