Beginning Sept.11 and 12 the Community Music Program will offer a six-week digital photography course designed for students to learn to effectively and efficiently capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments. The course will be taught by award-winning photographer David Bess, and will meet in the Creative Arts Center every Wednesday or Thursday depending on specific level.

Minisingers is a class designed to give children ages 4-7 their first exposure to the choral world. Classes begin Sept. 9 from 4:15-5 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center.
The College of Education and Human Services will expand a mathematics education project launched by an alumna in Pocahontas County to five additional school systems in an effort to improve instruction in the state.

Two new faculty members will join the College of Media this fall semester. Heather Cole is a teaching assistant professor for the Interactive Design for Media program, and Jim Iovino has joined the College of Media as the Odgen Newspapers Visiting Assistant Professor of Media Innovation.
CPASS is co-hosting Youth Sports and Spirit Day at Mountaineer Field Saturday (Aug. 31) at the season opener against JMU, August 31. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and pregame activities will begin at 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Chick-Fil-A Kids Zone in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility.
