Residents of the Weirton area will have greater access to WVU Medicine specialists and subspecialists through a new clinical program collaboration agreement with Weirton Medical Center that will begin with stroke specialists from the WVU Stroke Center providing telestroke services to patients at the Northern Panhandle hospital.

Kids like to move and be as independent as possible. But for children with mobility impairments, equipment needs may limit their ability to get out and go. The Center for Excellence in Disabilities is working to change that through new funding which will provide children aged 3-12 with mobility assistance and other durable medical equipment not covered by West Virginia Medicaid or private insurance.
