Three WVU gymnasts.  

The gymnastics team opens its 2019 season at the Cancun Classic today (Jan. 4) at 7 p.m., at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Ballroom in Cancun, Mexico. The Mountaineers will compete against No. 9-ranked Michigan, Iowa State and Rutgers.

The University is hosting New Student Orientation today (Jan. 3). Activities are planned throughout the day at the Mountainlair and downtown campus. As a result, parking will be limited and eateries will be busy around lunchtime.

WVU Extension Service partners will local organizations to host the Mineral County STEM Festival each year. The event will be held March 30 on WVU's Potomac State campus.

A University policy that formalizes and standardizes practices around the issuance and proper disposal of WVU identification cards is now available for public review. Faculty, staff and students may send comments on the proposed policy to Information Technology Services at InfoSec@mail.wvu.edu before midnight Feb. 3.

The PRT will resume normal operations Jan. 7. Mountain Line Transit Authority provides local bus service and it is free to ride with a valid WVU I.D. Bus routes and schedules can be found at www.busride.org.
