Nominations for Women in Science & Health Awards aim to recognize outstanding achievements and/or impact by women faculty members while at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center. Women who are currently employed or retired members of the HSC are eligible for nomination. Nominations from employees, students, and/or trainees from all HSC schools are encouraged. The deadline for nominations is Sunday (March 8).
The contribution supports the “Grow Children’s” capital campaign, which seeks to raise $60 million for a new children’s hospital to provide comprehensive healthcare services for kids and families within a dedicated state-of-the-art facility. The 150-bed, nine-story hospital is under construction next to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, which houses existing WVU Medicine Children’s services on its sixth floor.

Dr. Kimberly Kelly, an associate professor in the School of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Systems & Policy and a member of the WVU Cancer Institute Research Program, has been named an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association.
During February and March, students at the School of Pharmacy are competing in the 2020 Medication Adherence Team Challenge. The two-month interdisciplinary competition between student health professionals from across the country will help raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence.
