Under the Dome delivers a review of the issues being considered by state government and the 84th West Virginia Legislature during its first regular session. It provides information on matters that affect WVU and higher education. This edition covers updates on major issues being debated by the Legislature.
Nominations must be received by Feb. 15. Note that students must have been employed for a minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time between June 1, 2018 to May 31 (anticipated).
“REMIX the WVRHC Archives,”an exhibition and online project by the Art in the Libraries program, encourages people to use the West Virginia & Regional History Center’s online resources to design unique artistic works, such as collages, memes, GIFs, creative writing, redaction poetry and other agglomerations.
The Mineral County STEM Network will host the 7th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Festival for area students and parents. The event will be held Saturday, March 30 from noon to 4 p.m. on the campus of West Virginia University Potomac State College in Keyser, W.Va.
Eberly Family Professor for Outstanding Public Service and faculty member in the Department of Public Service Chris Plein will play at the Concerts in the Loft series Sunday (Feb. 10) at the Wesley United Methodist Church on the Downtown campus. Plein is a very talented singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. A former member of Morgantown’s own Second Cousin and Almost Blue bands, he plays originals and covers in the Americana folk and rock tradition.
