The WVU Cancer Institute will hold its annual DeLynn Lecture with Dr. Maura L. Gillison, who will lecture on HPV and the Host Genome at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 in the Fukushima Auditorium (room 1901 Health Sciences Center-North).

Fotinos Panagakos, D.M.D, Ph.D., MA, MBA, was recently named associate dean of research in the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. The new lead of the Department of Dental Research has interest in focusing on the effects improved oral health can have on chronic diseases including diabetes, heart disease and dementia.

The Office of WVU Veterans Affairs and the Davis College Veteran Professional Organization will host Veterans Welcome Back Weekend for student veterans Aug. 24 and 25. The event is made possible through the generous support of Adventure WV, Boeing and various departments across the University, as well as local businesses.
