The No. 4-ranked West Virginia University rifle team will compete for its nation-best 20th NCAA title at the 2019 NCAA National Championships, as announced this evening by the NCAA Rifle Committee. West Virginia University will play host to the championships March 8-9 at the WVU Coliseum. It is the first national championships final hosted by the University.

West Virginia University women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown announced today the Mountaineers' 2019 spring schedule. After again opening the spring with a trip to National Women's Soccer League member Sky Blue FC in March, WVU will face three collegiate opponents at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in April.

West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown officially introduced his 10 on-field assistants to the media this morning in the team room at the Milan Puskar Center. Brown said the three main qualities he was seeking when putting together his first staff at WVU were men of character who are proven winners and proven recruiters. He believes all 10 fit the bill.

Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Joyce McConnell and Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Rob Alsop invite University faculty, staff and students to join an open conversation today (Feb. 21) at 10 a.m. in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theater regarding House Bill 2519 referred to as “campus carry.” This is an opportunity to share thoughts, concerns or ask questions about the legislation, as well as receive updates on the bill’s status.

Topics include retirement eligibility guidelines, retiree health insurance options, eligibility to use sick leave/or faculty service credits, income options available, retirement savings plans available and Medicare enrollment requirements.
