West Virginia University fosters inclusion and diversity on campus. The Mountaineer community represents numerous faces, each one unique and special. Behind every face is a story. For three years, students have joined together to honor the University’s diversity and find common ground through the love of soccer.
Colleges
Elena Irwin, professor of environmental economics and faculty director of the Sustainability Institute at the Ohio State University, will present at 1 p.m. Nov. 8, in 2004 Agricultural Sciences.
This three-session class (over three weeks) is designed for adults who depend on their voice: singers, clinicians, actors, teachers, coaches, clergy, announcers, lawyers, salespeople, or people who simply suffer from vocal fatigue. Classes are offered on Thursdays Nov. 7, 14 and 21 from 7- 8 p.m. in the Creative Arts Center. Price breaks are available if registering by Nov. 4.
Mike Train, president of Emerson, will present “Hype or Hero: How Internet of Things and Digital Transformation are Impacting Industry and Jobs,” tomorrow (Oct. 30) at 3 p.m. The lecture, part of the Glen H. Hiner Distinguished Lecture Series in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, will be held in room 113 of the Mineral Resources Building.
Raymond Kryzak, a Coaching and Sport Education master’s student, spends his time outside of the classroom as a soccer coach in the Morgantown area.
