Faculty and staff are asked to share information about a new workshop series being offered to all students.
The University community is invited to a campus-wide open forums to hear a presentation and ask questions of a candidate coming to campus to interview for the Director of Admission Operations. Amy Szydlowski’s presentation on “Latest Trends in Undergraduate Admissions Processing That Would Benefit WVU” will take place Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Shenandoah Room of the Mountainlair.
The new Mr. and Ms. Mountaineer will be named during the halftime ceremony of the Oct. 25 football game against Baylor University.
The old saying goes “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” and a few West Virginia University faculty believe the adage holds true when looking at the potential for West Virginia’s apple growers to develop and market a unique food item that could become the hottest new snack — dried, smoked apple chunks. Growers and other interested parties will soon learn about producing, marketing and selling the snack thanks to faculty from the WVU Extension Service, WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, and the WVU School of Social Work who received a United States Department of Agriculture grant to develop and later deliver workshops around the state.
Extension Service has appointed Megan Midcap as the newest Extension agent for 4-H Youth Development in Lewis County.
