Leslie Tower, professor of social work at West Virginia University, found in a nationally representative survey that female social work faculty make less than their male counterparts by nearly $6,000 a year in spite of the fact that women are the majority in the profession.

The awards keep piling up for Deputy Director of Athletics Keli Zinn, and this one is perhaps her most coveted of all. Zinn was recognized last week, along with 39 others in this year's Forty Under 40 class of leaders in sports, representing a broad cross section of the sports business field.

WVCTSI’s Clinical and Translational Research Seminar Series will host its final sessions focusing on effectively engaging the community in a research agenda. Dr. Sally Hodder, WVCTSI director and associate vice president for clinical and translational science, will present, “Strategies for Developing and Engaging a Successful Community Advisory Board” April 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in room 201 of the WVU Health Sciences Center Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Building.
