WVU Symphony Orchestra  

The West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra will make its first appearance at Lewisburg’s historic Carnegie Hall Wednesday (April 17). WVUSO is comprised of WVU students studying a variety of majors in the university’s 14 colleges and schools.

The West Virginia University Foundation honored donors whose planned gifts over the past year will provide for the future of the University. The Irvin Stewart Society welcomed 58 new members during its 25th luncheon April 5 at Blaney House hosted by WVU President Gordon Gee.

This year’s winning business ideas in the West Virginia Collegiate and High School Business Plan Competitions are a sign of the times: STEM learning, food and gaming. Three collegiate and two high school teams are a step closer to their entrepreneurial dreams, as entries from West Virginia University, Marshall University, Morgantown High School and Buckhannon-Upshur High School captured the grand prizes in the competitions April 12.

Stephen Scott, 3L, has been selected a Law School Student of the Year finalist by The National Jurist magazine. The level of Scott’s accomplishments and leadership in law school is dizzying. He is among the top 10 students in his class while balancing commitments to community involvement, student government, tutoring and countless other activities.
