Amanda Mason will serve as the Safety and Health Extension specialist for clinical safety and health. Lauren Prinzo, formerly a WVU Extension agent in Marion County, will be joining the Family and Community Development program to focus on a new aspect of leadership training that will improve upon the entrepreneurial spirit that is prevalent in the state.

Randy Meador was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame this May. Meador serves as coordinator of athletic training services for WVU intercollegiate athletic program, Head Men’s Basketball athletic trainer and clinical instructor for the CPASS athletic training curriculum program.
Education Professor Andrea Schafer was recently named West Virginia University Potomac State College’s 2019 Outstanding Professor of the Year. Schafer started at WVU Potomac State College in 2014. In addition to teaching, Schafer serves as the first-year seminar coordinator, a required course that provides new students with information, tools and resources as well as covers a variety of academic components needed to help students achieve progress and success towards completion of a college degree.
Dr. Gina Baugh, an associate professor in the School’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Director of Interprofessional Education for the WVU Health Sciences Center, has been invited to participate in the 2019 – 2020 Academic Leadership Fellows Program.
Ashley Rose Scholl, a post-sophomore fellow in the Pathology, Anatomy and Laboratory Medicine Department at West Virginia University, has received three medical student awards from the most prominent Pathologist Professional Societies. The awards include the Association of Pathology Chairs Society of 67 Scholars Travel Award, the College of American Pathologists Foundation Medical Student Travel Award, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology Gold Medical Student Award. These awards provide funding for recipients to attend their respective pathology society annual conferences and to present their work.
