Eighteen state colleges and universities will be represented in the 2019-2020 West Virginia Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition semifinals, with a total of 31 teams moving onto the next stage of the competition.

The West Virginia Innocence Project, a clinic at the College of Law, has received an award from the Morgantown Human Rights Commission. The award is given annually to an organization in recognition of International Human Rights Day on December 10.
Potomac State College President Jennifer Orlikoff is pleased to announce that Keri Whitacre was recently named director of development. Whitacre previously served as a psychology instructor at the College.
In Spring 2019, John Chambers College of Business and Economics Academic engagement Success Center program–a study center that assists students in a variety of business and communication subjects–held an event for freshmen students enrolled in our College to better prepare them for their future careers. In order to do so, they had to first create an infographic that demonstrated their five-year plan.
Syd Peng, the Charles E. Lawall Chair Emeritus of mining engineering, has published a third edition textbook on longwall mining.
While students may experience personal interactions within the traditional classroom setting, there are still opportunities for online students to connect and explore the learning process.
