Each spring, West Virginia University recognizes selected faculty members for their exceptional and innovative teaching. This year, the 2022 WVU Foundation Awards for Outstanding Teaching honors three faculty members.
Cathy Jasper, assistant to the associate provosts for faculty development and culture and academic personnel, has been awarded West Virginia University’s 2022 Neil S. Bucklew Social Justice Award.
Four exceptional faculty members at West Virginia University have been named 2021-2022 Benedum Distinguished Scholars in recognition of the high caliber of their research and scholarly activity.
Each year, the WVU Academic Advising Council, at the direction of the Office of the Provost, selects honorees for the Nicholas Evans Awards for Advising Excellence in recognition of outstanding advising and mentoring provided by faculty and professional advisers at WVU. The awards are in honor of Nicholas Evans, a lifelong proponent and exemplar of undergraduate advising at WVU.
Three West Virginia University faculty members – Mark Brazaitis, Bradley Wilson and Jessica Deshler – have been recognized for their exceptional teaching and service to the University, students and community.
