John Renton  

On February 28, the world lost a preeminent geologist, teacher, leader and philanthropist. John Renton taught in the Eberly College's Department of Geology and Geography for more than 50 years. Dr. Renton was Professor Emeritus of Geology and before his retirement served as an Eberly Family Professor for Outstanding Teaching since 2002.

The School of Music's Community Music Program announces the start of its second five-week session of the Spring Term, with music education classes catering to the youngest of our patrons (ages 0-5 years old).

The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences is proud to host Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe as an activist-in-residence during the week of March 9. In her keynote lecture tonight (March 9) at 5:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theater, Nyirumbe will discuss the necessity of believing in one’s self, which she connects to the ability to help others.

Sarah Gould Wright  

Sarah Gould Wright (‘95) sport behavior, is all too familiar with the necessities and importance of developing resources needed to thrive. Originally from Cabot, Vermont, Wright has traveled up and down the east coast serving under-resourced individuals through her commitment to enhancing programs, policies and systems inclusive of these populations.

Hedda Gabler  

Robynn Rodriguez made her professional directorial debut at the Utah Shakespeare Festival with an acclaimed production of Shakespeare's “King John.” Since that auspicious beginning, she has gone on to direct at USF, the University of Texas at Austin, Pacific Conservatory Theatre, Dartmouth College and American Players Theatre. Rodriguez directed the School of Theatre & Dance’s production of “Hedda Gabler” running March 5-13 in the Gladys G Davis Theatre at the WVU Creative Arts Center.
