In commemoration of Native American Heritage Month, the Native American Studies Program will host "Native American Leaders in Action," a student panel focused on tribal leadership and key issues affecting American Indian and Alaska Native Nation Friday (Nov. 30) at 12:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Bluestone Room.

West Virginia University students are learning lifesaving skills as part of a national campaign  

The Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, in partnership with the American College of Surgeons, is taking part in the national “Stop the Bleed” initiative. Participants in the programs are being trained to stop bleeding in order to prevent death from hemorrhage.

Richard Goldberg, who directs the West Virginia University Cancer Institute, is searching for new ways to slow colorectal cancer’s progression. In a recent study, he and an international team of scientists investigated a new drug combination for treating metastatic colorectal cancer in patients who had no—or only temporary—success with conventional chemotherapy treatments.

Elizabeth Oppe of the Reed College of Media will present about how she purposefully linked service-learning between her courses at different levels. Join us Thursday (Nov. 29) from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Blackwater Room at the Mountainlair to learn from her experience and consider how you may apply this technique in your own teaching.

The men's basketball team will play host to Rider in the WVU Coliseum today (Nov. 28) at 6:30 p.m. Coliseum parking until 4 p.m. will be extremely limited. Students who have classes on the Evansdale campus may park for free in the Coliseum lots near the Natatorium and Arboretum until 4 p.m. Space is limited at both locations.

Featuring 10 home dual matches, Director of Athletics Shane Lyons has unveiled the 2019 tennis schedule. WVU's spring 2019 slate is made up of 21 dual matches, including nine regional matches and nine Big 12 conference matches.
