The Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs and the Office of Compliance and Prevention Education will host the WVU Veterans Breakfast on Nov. 11. The breakfast will honor those who have served and those who are currently serving in the military.

Manuel Furmento, a native of Uruguay, member of the Golden Bears golf team and founder of SkyMounts, was inspired to become an inventor and entrepreneur after helping his father install a mounted television.

Pumpkins were in peril on Halloween (Oct. 31) at WVU during the 36th annual Pumpkin Drop, sponsored by the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering and the WVU chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. This year’s competition included 305 registered teams from 53 schools across West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
