Training will consist of two hours of self-guided online learning that must be completed prior to an instructor-led session. The virtual, instructor-led portion will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on either May 6 or June 11.

Main Street Morgantown will help transform downtown Morgantown into an open air gallery, featuring local artists and makers displaying their work from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 on High Street. Visitors can enjoy various art forms including paintings, jewelry, photography and handcrafted goods while exploring downtown businesses.

WVU Marching Band  

According to West Virginia University alumni leader David K. Hendrickson, there’s only one “team” at WVU that consistently remains undefeated — the Mountaineer Marching Band. Hendrickson’s passion for the band motivated him to make a $50,000 gift to support the Pride Practice Field and Facility in conjunction with this year’s WVU Day of Giving, and he challenged other alumni to match his gift, raising over $150,000 in total to support the project.

Barnes and Noble Bookstore  

The WVU Bookstore First Day Complete program provides undergraduate students with a lower-cost, lower-stress approach to obtaining required textbooks and other course materials, including lab manuals, access codes and digital textbooks, provided on a rental basis.

Computer  

As previously announced, WVU Login accounts will be moved into Okta, a new identity management platform, on June 1. To ensure a smooth transition, all faculty, staff and students should review, update or create a recovery email account by May 30.

Bentley Kinzer, an exercise physiology major, has been selected as a 2025 Leadership Fellow by the National Veterans Leadership Foundation. He is also an aspiring dentist and dependent of an Army service member who serves as a work-study student in the Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs.
