The Provost's Office will hold its Fall 2022 Board of Governors Program Review workshop from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the College of Law's Fitzsimmons Event Hall. Lunch will be provided.
Maintaining a sharp focus on the unique needs of rural, underrepresented WVU students, the Office of Student Success welcomes its first cohort of Mountain Scholars this fall. The Mountain Scholars Program is designed to create a culture of support for incoming first-year students from rural areas of West Virginia as they work toward academic success while also preparing them for jobs in the Mountain State.
The Office of the Provost is accepting nominations of candidates for honorary doctoral degrees at WVU to be awarded at commencement exercises in May 2023. Nomination packets are due to the Office of the Provost by Friday, Sept. 30.
As part of the University’s ongoing academic transformation efforts to enhance student success opportunities, the Office of the Provost has implemented a new virtual support feature to answer students’ questions on advising, tutoring, financial aid or registrar questions on select websites all day, every day.
Faculty, instructors and academic leaders are invited to join the Office of the Provost for an interactive session to learn more about the advanced usage of Digital Measures with a view toward the promotion and tenure process. The workshop will be held 1-3 p.m. Aug. 22 in the Mountainlair’s Shenandoah Room or online via Zoom.
