Scholarship Recipients 2021  

The Office of Graduate Education and Life has announced the recipients of the 2021 WVU Foundation Scholarship awards. Scholarship review committee members said they were impressed by the high caliber applications received and have selected four recipients for the WVU Foundation Distinguished Doctoral Scholarship and five recipients for the Carl del Signore Foundation Scholarship for master’s students working towards the completion of a thesis.

Audrey Sawyer  

Mountain streams are under pressure from changing climate, land use and water demand, which all influence stream-groundwater connections and water quality. Audrey Sawyer, assistant professor of earth science at Ohio State University, will discuss those challenges during her virtual presentation "Metals, microbes, and mixing of surface water and groundwater in mountain streams” Thursday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m.
