WVU men's soccer coach Dan Stratford has announced the addition of five student-athletes to complete the 2022 signing class. Joining the Mountaineers this fall are Malo Blondeau (Lézardrieux, France), Marcus Caldeira (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada), Noah Gold (Germantown, Maryland), Barrett Saul (Leesburg, Virginia) and Yutaro Tsukada (Tokyo, Japan).

Senior Verena Zaisberger of the WVU rifle team and redshirt junior right-handed pitcher Noah Short of the Mountaineer baseball team have been selected to receive the 2021-22 Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarship, the Big 12 Conference announced. The WVU duo is part of 20 student-athletes to be selected for the grant.
Shane Lyons, WVU athletics director, has announced the 2022 women's soccer schedule. The Mountaineers' 2022 slate is highlighted by five home, nonconference matchups, as well as an exhibition against rival Pitt to open home action.
Eight members of the WVU rifle team are part of the 2022 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Scholastic All-America Team.
Senior Scott Joll, junior Peyton Hall, and redshirt sophomore Austin Cooley with the WVU wrestling team finished in the top eight of their respective weight classes to claim All-America status at the 2022 U23/U20 World Team Trials.
The Mountaineer Athletic Club, along with the WVU football team, will host the 2022 Ladies Huddle, presented by Civil & Environmental Consultants, July 28 at 5 p.m. Participants will enjoy a cocktail and shopping hour, a facility tour of the newly renovated Puskar Center, on-field activities, photo opportunities, a dinner and program featuring coach Neal Brown.
