University parents will get a firsthand look at life as a student while meeting other families at the annual Fall Family Weekend hosted by the Mountaineer Parents Club, Sept. 27-29. This year’s signature event is “President Gee’s 21st Birthday Bash!”

Both faculty and staff who have been at WVU for years or those just joining the Mountaineer family are invited to network and make new connections from 6-7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Sept. 17) at The Cupcakerie Café & Frosé. The goal is to harness a positive, welcoming community.
The Staff Council meeting will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 18) in the Mountainlair, Rhododendron Room and on Zoom.
Get a firsthand look at what filmmakers do to adapt literature into film as award-winning film director Chet Pancake leads a collaborative scene analysis workshop for his new short film, “Me and My Daddy,” from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 25 at Maple House.
The celebration is designed to recognize the achievements of all faculty and staff members who have published a book, released an audio recording, or produced a full-length work in another medium (e.g., art, theater, film or dance) within any discipline. The work must have been published, released or produced between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2023. Complete the online submission form by Sept. 20.
Revealing the key to happiness and fulfillment through decades of research on what truly makes life meaningful, “The Good Life” is based on the Harvard study of adult development. The FSAP book club will meet from 4-5 p.m. every Thursday beginning Oct. 3 through Nov. 21 on Zoom.
