Free community COVID-19 testing conducted by Monongalia County Health Department will be held from 9-11 a.m. Mondays and Fridays at the WVU Rec Center, starting today (Nov. 30) through Dec. 18. Dates are Nov. 30, Dec. 4, 7, 11, 14 and 18.

The Alumni Association announced Tuesday, Nov. 24, that Colonel Sean Frisbee, USAF (Ret.), president and CEO of the WVU Alumni Association and vice president for alumni relations, will leave office on June 30, 2021, after more than five years of service in order to shift focus towards economic development in West Virginia. The Board of Directors will work with Kevin Berry, chief operating officer, and the senior Alumni Association staff as it moves forward.
The WVU Parking Management Office will close at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 2). The office will resume normal hours of operation (Monday through Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.) on Thursday (Dec. 3).
The WVU community is invited to join Active Minds for two community service opportunities throughout December to benefit individuals who are speech impaired and/or active military members and first responders.
AnyConnect, WVU’s older Virtual Private Network (vpn2.wvu.edu), will be decommissioned Dec. 10, and the few remaining users will need to move to the more secure and modern platform most of the University now uses.
The Downtown Campus Library will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday (Dec. 1-2) as crews complete work on a steam line that supports the building’s HVAC system. The library will reopen Thursday (Dec. 3) at 7:30 a.m.
